A future workspace for shared Codex work.
On the horizonPricing to be announced
We're exploring Codex sharing and collaboration. Device sharing is available today; team permissions, shared conversation controls and shared device ownership are still planned.
Learn about device sharing →Bring your own AI agent. Plans cover Caterm access. Codex and Claude Code use the CLI and login on your device; model usage and provider subscriptions are separate.
Desktop access requires platform setup and permissions. Terminals default to enabled and can be disabled locally. Device owners can share enabled tools with other verified Caterm accounts.
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
A few things to know.
Can I use Codex on the Free plan?
Yes. Device conversations are available with your own installed Codex and local login. Free supports two total devices; Pro supports ten. Your own devices and accepted shared devices both count. Claude Code is also supported.
Does Caterm run Codex in the cloud?
Codex runs on the device you choose, in its configured project folder. Caterm relays your conversation and approvals to that local agent. Your device needs to be online to start a turn.
Can I share Codex with my team today?
Click Share beside Settings on a device to generate an invitation link. The recipient signs in and accepts sharing. Each member starts independent conversations using the device's local agent login. Shared conversation controls and the Team workspace remain planned.
How do desktop and terminal access work?
Remote desktop is a preview for supported, configured Mac and Linux devices. A browser terminal starts your device's local shell only after terminal access is enabled on that device. Both use authenticated owner access.
How are payment and cancellation handled?
Checkout and billing are hosted by Stripe; card details do not pass through Caterm. Pro is month-to-month and can be canceled before the next renewal. Access continues through the paid period.
Does a plan include model or infrastructure costs?
No. Codex and other agent provider costs, your machines, network, relay services, and deployment infrastructure are separate from Caterm pricing.
